The two main beaches, Playa de Barlovento and Playa de Cofete, together measure more than 15 km and are separated by a rock. Betancuria

Betancuria is a pretty old village, located high up on the basalt hills with a beautiful view over the valley beyond, and was the capital of the island until the year 1834. With its typical Canarian architecture and ancient buildings, Betancuria is one of the most ancient settlements on the island. Don't forget, en route to Betancuria, to stop along the road: you'll probably meet some squirrels!

Corralejo

Corralejo is the main resort of Fuerteventura. With its traditional waterside town, pleasant atmosphere, excellent restaurants, and bars, Corralejo is perfect for both young and older tourists looking for an unforgettable holiday. What makes Corralejo unique is the famous 'Dunes Beach', a real desert falling into the water in an incredible mixture of white sand and turquoise. Los Lobos

The tiny island of Los Lobos is located just north of Corralejo and can be easily reached by boat in a few minutes. A visit to Los Lobos is definitely an excursion not to be missed! This volcanic inhabited island is a truly unspoiled paradise, with just a restaurant and plenty of wildlife. A heaven for lovers of nature, the sea, snorkelling, and walking.

Caleta de Fuste

Caleta de Fuste is a delightfully pretty fishing harbour enclosed by a sandy sheltered bay. The sandy beach, ideal for children, as well as the central location of Caleta, contributed to the success of this destination with many regularly returning year after year. Not to be missed are the excellent restaurants and tapas bars along the main boulevard and around the beach. 

Tindaya

Tindaya is somehow a world apart in Fuerteventura. High 401 meters, this mountain was once a sacred place for the Mahos. On the clear days from the top of Tindaya, the volcano of Tenerife can be seen. The Tindaya Mountain is one of the most intimate and peculiar places on the island: quiet, exotic birds and beautiful views will be your only travel mates for the day.

Costa Calma

After a drive of around 70 km from the capital of the island, going south, the beautiful area of Costa Calma is true heaven. More than a village or a resort, Costa Calma is an area that stretches for around 20 km of coast, with golden sandy beaches and turquoise water. The intense colour of the sea and the beauty of the shoreline made in the years this destination more and more famous among the water sports lovers and families.
