Festes de Sant Sebastià (St. Sebastian’s Festival): The Patron Saint of Mallorca is St Sebastian. The celebrations run from the 12th until the 20th of January. On the 19th of January, the main plaza in Palma is filled with music, food stalls, bonfires, and much more. The finale is in Pollenca there is the parade of Els Cavallets on the 20th of January.
Sa Rua Carnival: Dates vary yearly for this traditional festival, but it is usually the third weekend in February. The streets are filled with carnivals, parades, parties, and many traditional Sa Rau celebrations. The local government website will update the dates, times and routes of the Sa Rua Carnival.
Festes del Rei en Jaume: This fiesta runs during the first two weeks in September. It celebrates the start of the beginning of the reconquest of the island, which was overtaken by the Moors. As well as celebrating the arrival of Jaime I at Santa Ponça, which was 783 years ago. From bonfires to parades as well as the reenactment of the battle. This is well worth a visit.
Festa des Vermar or Grape Harvest Festival: The festivities in September are still not over! In the last two weeks of September, Binissalem is the centre of the festivities. The ‘Festa des Vermar’ brings people from all over the island together. This festival has everything from grape throwing competitions, wine tasting and grape treading. There are also servings of traditional dish called Fideus des Vermar.
La Dansa dels Cossiers: This is one of Mallorca's oldest and most traditional dances. The dance group consists of 6 males, 1 female, and "the devil" and They dance to the rhythm of the melodies played by the pipe and the shawm players.
